Green de-activist high fives self for every time he refused to organize the trash

News reports note that plastic dutifully placed in the recycling bin has a decent chance of touring the seas off East Asia, while the stuff you send to landfill enjoys a quiet life going nowhere at all.

Recycling is performance art for the doomed.

That’s the gospel of today’s green deactivists—eco‑anarchists who claim that the truest environmental statement is refusing to participate in a broken system. They’re tired of sorting, rinsing, and feeling vaguely guilty while billion‑dollar oil companies continue lighting the sky on fire.

Dylan,  part philosopher, part slob, full‑time hero, claims his movement—“Sustainability by Refusal”—challenges the guilt‑industrial complex.

“I used to recycle,” the man says. “Then I realized the government just ships it to the ocean anyway. Now I skip the middleman.”
